Incremental Linear Encoder - Elgo Electric MIX/FMIX

MIX/FMIX

MIX: The incremental linear encoder for angular and linear movement
FMIX: Mechanically guided MIX with rail and carriage

Incremental,Linear,Encoder,Elgo,Electric,MIX,FMIX

Functions

The flexible magnetic tape also makes angle measurements possible (only MIX) and can be delivered lengths up to 30 Meters.
The resolution of MIX unit can be adjusted between 1 mm and 0.005 mm (by BCD-switch), but must be indicated at FMIX systems.
To reach the indicated/adjusted resolution, an evaluation of all 4 pulse-edges must be adjusted at the following circuit (e.g. indicator).
With MIX units it is possible to integrate a reference sensor into the measuring head, which is putting out an index pulse when the reference mark has been passed. The reference mark (pole pair stripes) may be fixed at any position at the side of the magnetic tape.
With FMIX4/FMIX5 units the index pulse can be activated by an external input.
MIX is available in four different versions:
MIX 1: Translator with a small external sensor
MIX3: Translator and sensor in one big case
MIX4:Translator and sensor in one big case with single time index pulse
MIX5:Translator and sensor in one big case with permanent index pulse
MIX5-SN033 with an additional input for enabling the reference procedure
The guided FMIX system is available in three different variants:
FMIX3: Without marker (index) pulse and end-switches
FMIX4: With integrated marker (index) pulse*
FMIX5: With integrated marker (index) pulse and end switches (opener relays)*
* The index pulse can be switched over single time or permanently, by an external input.

Features

The incremental measuring system MIX measures movements directly, that means there are no pitch or measuring errors due to mechanical play. The distance between magnetic sensor and magnetic tape may be up to 2.0 mm without impairing system accuracy.
The guided FMIX-system includes a guide carriage and rail.
Max. length of the guide rail: 2 Meters.>br>It's possible to arrange the 2 m rails up to the max. available tape length of 32 Meters (roll ware). The tape must be sticked in whole length onto the arranged rails, then.
