Staircase and hallway lighting timers that cut energy costs

DOLD time switches reduce energy use and cost by keeping lighting and other loads from running longer than necessary. They are used in stairwells and hallways, for courtyard lighting and as run-on controls for bathroom exhaust fans. The compact housing saves space in the distribution board, and a continuous lighting function keeps lights on without interruption during longer tasks.

Variants differ mainly in time range and wiring. The IK 8810/001 and RK 8810/001 cover 0.5 to 10 min, cannot be retriggered and suit 3-wire circuits with N on the push button. The IK 8810/002 and RK 8810/100 share that range but also work in 4-wire circuits with L on the push button and can be retriggered. For longer periods, the IK 8810/004 and RK 8810/004 run 3 to 60 min with pre-warning, while the IK 8810/003 and RK 8810/003 give 0.5 to 10 min on a short press or 2 to 40 min on a long one.

Most IK 8810 and RK 8810 types switch a 16 A contact, and all fit a 17.5 mm housing. The IK 8810/005 is a fan run-on timer that starts the extractor after the light. The IK 8813 can be switched off before its time expires, the IK 8814 and IK 8825 allow reswitching, and the OA 8823 and OA 8825 versions mount in flush boxes.
