SAFEMASTER M modular safety system configured without software

SAFEMASTER M is a decentralized, modular safety system from DOLD that suits many machine and plant builds. Its safety functions are set on the hardware itself, with no software, which keeps adaptation to each application economical. The system is built from four module types: the control unit, input modules, output modules and a diagnostic module.

Each input module offers freely selectable safety functions and can be assigned to different output modules, and the system can be extended with further input and output modules as needs grow. Functions are chosen with a rotary switch, and status is shown by LEDs and semiconductor outputs. An optional fieldbus connection makes the system status visible in the plant control, which helps raise availability.
