DOLD BH 5932 – Speed or standstill monitor
Speed or standstill monitor
Safe standstill and speed monitors detect when a machine has stopped or is running too fast, in automatic as well as set-up mode — for example to release a guard door only once a drive has come to rest.
Sensorless versions measure directly on the motor, with no extra sensors to install; others work with proximity switches.

DOLD's SAFEMASTER S standstill and speed monitors detect and report when a drive has stopped and how fast it is turning, in both automatic and setup mode. They belong on machines and plants where moving parts could endanger people or equipment. Options include speed or frequency monitoring without any sensor, and drive monitoring based on proximity switches.
A typical use is safe monitoring of reduced speed during setup, which better protects operating staff while they work close to the machine. The same function also supports productivity, because the machine is not shut down when there is no need to. Depending on the type, the monitors can be retrofitted easily and integrated into existing drive solutions, with settings made on the device rather than through a PC.
