MINISTART soft starters for smooth motor starting and lower inrush current
DOLD's MINISTART soft starters bring motors up to speed gently instead of starting them direct on line. This addresses common problems such as mechanical wear on drives, loads tipping or sliding on conveyor belts and pressure surges in pump pipework. Less stress on the motor and mechanical components means less wear and a longer service life. The reduced starting current also eases the load on the supply network. The devices install easily, take up little space and offer flexible configuration options.
For single-phase motors, the 35 mm IL 9017 and SL 9017 handle up to 1.5 kW, IL 9017/300 adds softstop, and BI 9028/900 suits motors to 5 kW on AC 230 V. With one-phase control, the BA 9010 suits motors up to 5.5 kW and the BN 9011 up to 11 kW. BA 9019 (2-phase) and BA 9026 (3-phase control) add softstop up to 5.5 kW, while GF 9016 reaches 22 kW and needs no auxiliary voltage.
Several models include braking: BL 9028, BL 9228 and BI 9028 combine softstart with a DC brake and need no braking contactor, and GF 9229 handles motor currents up to 60 A, has a CANopen connection and complies with DIN EN 12750 for woodworking machines. The 67.5 mm PF 9015, PF 9029 and PF 9415 control all three phases with integrated bypass relays and class 10 motor protection; PF 9415 adds a Modbus RTU interface.
