Speed and phase controllers for simple fan and pump speed control

DOLD speed controllers are intended for straightforward speed control of pumps and fans, so the drive can be matched to the load. Compared with frequency converters, they cause far fewer EMC problems because no shielded cables are required. A typical application is controlling the speed of exhaust fans in large commercial kitchens.

Two phase controllers make up this category, both suitable for resistive and motor loads and both with LED indication. The IN 9017 is 53 mm wide, handles continuous power up to 300 W and meets interference suppression limit class B. The BI 9220 is 68 mm wide and is rated for continuous power up to 2.2 kW; it is offered as BI 9220.01 for single-phase or BI 9220.03 for three-phase operation.
