DOLD's coupling (interface) modules are built with forcibly guided contacts to IEC 61810-3. Because the contacts are forcibly guided, the normally closed contact can be used to monitor the normally open contacts and confirm their state. If an error is detected, the module prevents the circuit from being activated again.
Acting as the link between logic and load, these modules switch safety-related functions and adapt signals between the control level and the power level. DOLD coupling modules are also used to build self-monitoring safety switches, and their contact design helps engineers implement safety-related circuits in a way that complies with the relevant standards.
Models differ in width, contact count and DC switching capability. Compact choices include the HC 3096N at 18 mm and the HK 3087N, LG 3096 and MK 3096N at 22.5 mm; the HK 3087N keeps more than 10 mm clearance and creepage between NC and NO contacts. For more outputs, the UG 3096 offers 8 contacts and the UH 3096 16, the UG 3091 10 partially forcibly guided contacts, and the HL 3094, HO 3094 and HO 3095 up to 8 contacts with Ith = 8 A from -40 to +55 °C. The HL 3094N also meets EN 50155, and the UG 3088 has a variant for high DC loads.
