DOLD flasher relays control position lighting on cranes, wind power systems and airfield lighting. They are also used to drive fault and malfunction signals on machines, lighting, fans and similar equipment. On a flasher relay the pulse time and the pause time are the same length, which produces an even on/off rhythm.
Most models are compact single-contact units. IK 7816 and SK 7816 are 17.5 mm wide with pulse times up to 100 s and begin with a pulse; IK 7827 adds a manual pushbutton and a 16 A changeover contact, and its IK 7827/100 variant starts with the pause instead. RK 7816 comes in dual-voltage versions such as AC 230 V + AC/DC 24 V and carries UL approval.
For wider settings, the 22.5 mm BC 7932N offers adjustable frequency with pulse times up to 100 s and repeat accuracy of ≤ 0.5 % + 10 ms. MK 7851N covers 0.05 s to 300 h across eight rotary-switch ranges, works on AC/DC 12 ... 240 V and lets you choose whether the cycle begins with pulse or break.
