DOLD fleeting action relays, also called wiping relays, are used in machines and systems such as dosing and rinsing equipment. Two types are available. An input wiping relay moves to the work position as soon as the operating voltage is applied. An output wiping relay is triggered through a control contact on its control input and switches to the work position when that contact opens. Both types return to the rest position as soon as the set wiping time has elapsed.
Most models are fleeting-on-make types. The IK 7815 and SK 7815 (17.5 mm) cover 0.1 s to 60 min, the RK 7815 extends to 10 h with a dual-voltage supply and UL approval, and the IK 7826 gives short pulses of 0.05 to 1 s on a 16 A changeover contact with a manual pushbutton. In 22.5 mm housings, the BC 7931N reaches 100 s and the MK 9989 300 s with two changeover contacts.
For fleeting on break, the IK 7820 and SK 7820 offer 4 ranges from 0.25 to 640 s on AC 110 to 240 V, with a control input driven at nominal voltage so no voltage-free contact is needed. The MK 9988 can be programmed for make, break or both, with a fixed time of 0.3 to 0.6 s.
