Safety mat and safety edge evaluation modules up to PL e

DOLD safety mat modules evaluate pressure-sensitive safety mats and safety edges, which are used to guard large hazardous areas and to control access to machines. When an actuating force is applied, for example a person stepping onto the mat, the evaluation module issues a control command that stops hazardous movement at once. The modules conform to safety category 4 / PL e under DIN EN ISO 13849. Their function is monitored continuously, and they can be adjusted individually to the area being protected. They work with safety edges that have different permissible switching currents.

Two evaluation units are offered, both 22.5 mm wide and rated category 4 / PL e with SIL 3 to IEC/EN 62061. The BG 5925/910 is a DC-supplied safety mat switch gear that also accepts safety edges. It provides up to 3 NO contacts, carries TÜV and UL approvals, and selects manual or automatic restart with switch S2. The LG 5944 is a dedicated safety edge module with 2 redundant safety outputs, an AC/DC supply, an LED for each channel and UL approval, and it can be ordered with pluggable screw or cage clamp terminal blocks.
