DOLD AD 5960 – Fault Annunciator System
Fault Annunciator System
Devices that watch your electrical system and warn early when something goes wrong: residual current monitors, insulation monitors, insulation fault location and a wide range of measuring and monitoring relays.
They detect when current, voltage, power, frequency or insulation resistance leave safe limits, helping you avoid hazards, unplanned downtime and damage.

DOLD's monitoring range addresses electrical safety in unearthed power systems (IT systems) as well as earthed TT and TN systems. It covers insulation monitors, residual current monitors, systems for locating insulation faults, and measuring and monitoring relays. The devices signal early when values such as current, voltage, power or insulation resistance cross a critical limit, which protects people and equipment, keeps machines available and reduces downtime. Options run from single-variable devices to multifunctional relays and flexible fault indication systems.
For IT systems, VARIMETER IMD insulation monitors are available for DC, AC, three-phase and mixed AC/DC networks and continuously track insulation resistance. Typical uses include DC charging stations, eMobility, mobile generator sets and the monitoring of switched-off loads. When a fault needs to be traced, the VARIMETER EDS insulation fault location system (IFLS) finds its source quickly in complex isolated AC/DC systems.
For earthed TT and TN supplies, VARIMETER RCM residual current monitors come in a standard version for DC or pulsating DC and an all-current sensitive version for mixed AC/DC systems. The residual current is measured through an external differential current transformer. Measuring relays for self-generating systems and for physical quantities complete the range.
