SAFEMASTER C compact multifunctional safety relays for several safety inputs

SAFEMASTER C is DOLD's line of compact multifunctional safety switching devices. Each unit assigns several safety-related inputs, such as emergency stop and safety door, to a single output. It can run as a standalone device or form part of a larger safety system, and the safety functions and operating modes are selected quickly with a rotary switch.

Multifunctionality also brings cost savings. One SAFEMASTER C device needs less cabinet space than a set of monofunctional safety relays, a single device type covers many safety functions so fewer variants need to be kept in stock, and setting up the safety functions and operating modes on site is quick and simple.

All five current models are rated category 4 / PL e and SIL 3 to IEC/EN 62061, run on DC and carry UL approval. The 45 mm BH 5910 detects cross faults, short circuits and broken wires, and provides 3 NO contacts (alternatively 2 NO + 1 NC) plus 2 short-circuit-proof semiconductor outputs. The 22.5 mm UG 6960, UG 6961, UG 6970 and UG 6980 follow EN 50156-1 for furnaces: the UG 6970 gives 2 NO contacts per safety function, the UG 6980 up to 4 NO, and the UG 6960 and UG 6961 add safe timing, the UG 6960 with 2 instantaneous and 2 delayed NO contacts.
