Safety door monitoring relays for movable guards and access points

DOLD offers a wide selection of safety gate monitors for many kinds of machinery. These ready-to-connect, DIN-rail-mounted devices track the position of movable guards by evaluating the safety door switches that are actuated when the guard opens or closes. They are needed wherever someone must enter a room or reach into an area with dangerous motion, for example to operate the machine, set it up or troubleshoot it. Some versions combine safety gate monitoring with a safe time function.

Three devices currently sit in this category, all rated category 4 / PL e and SIL 3 to IEC/EN 62061. Two of them, the BN 5930.48 and BO 5988, are 100 mm emergency stop modules with 1- or 2-channel connection, a feedback circuit X1-X2 for checking external contactors and removable terminal strips. The BN 5930.48 provides 3 NO and 1 NC contacts rated AC 400 V, while the UL-Recognized BO 5988 offers up to 6 NO and 1 NC contacts for AC 250 V plus integrated short-circuit and overvoltage protection.

The 22.5 mm LG 5925/920 is designed for the NE 5021 safety switch and follows EN 50156-2 for furnaces. It runs in 1- or 2-channel mode, provides up to 4 NO contacts, and uses switch S2 for manual or automatic restart and switch S1 to enable or disable cross fault monitoring.
