DOLD two-hand control relays for presses, punches and shears
Presses, punching machines, cutters and shears all share hazardous closing movements that can injure operators. DOLD two-hand safety relays require the operator to keep both hands on controls placed safely outside the danger zone, so the area cannot be entered until the dangerous motion has fully stopped. The modules are compact and ready to connect, and reach safety level Type III-C under EN ISO 13851. Because they handle the two-hand function themselves, a conventional safety controller is not needed for this task, which also lowers cost.
BG 5933 (22.5 mm) and BH 5933 (45 mm) take two pushbuttons, each fitted with one NC and one NO contact, and provide 2 NO / 1 NC or 3 NO / 1 NC outputs with overvoltage and short-circuit protection, rated Cat. 4 / PL e and SIL 3. The LG 5933 has the same rating with 3 NO / 1 NC outputs and removable terminals as fixed screw, plug-in screw (LG 5933 PS) or plug-in cage clamp (LG 5933 PC) versions. For lower requirements, the 45 mm BD 5980N is rated Cat. 1 / PL c and SIL 1.
