DOLD's MINISTOP motor braking devices bring asynchronous motors up to 160 kW to a controlled stop. According to DOLD, a standstill within ten seconds is typical, in line with the EU Machinery Directive and the relevant European standards. The braking current is adjustable, so each device can be matched to the machine or system it serves.
Models are sized by braking current, and all conform to IEC/EN 60947-4-2 with a one-way rectified DC brake. The BN 9034 reaches 25 A in 100 mm, the 45 mm BA 9034N and BA 9034N/802 handle up to 32 A with microcontroller control and an integrated braking contactor, the 90 mm BI 9034 goes to 60 A, and the BI 9023 has a brake current adjustable to 80 A. The 110 mm GB 9034 covers up to 600 A. The BN 9034 and GB 9034 can be ordered with a standstill indicator relay, star-delta start or thermistor motor protection.
The brake relays are free of wear and maintenance. They are simple to install and can be added to existing systems as well as new designs, making them a practical choice for machine builders and for retrofits alike, where both safety and efficiency matter. Send us the motor data and we'll suggest a suitable MINISTOP model.
