Mechanical units are the wiring-free part of the SAFEMASTER STS key transfer system. A trapped key interlock protects hazardous machines and plant at low cost, because no cable has to be run to each access, and a correctly structured system can reach category 4 / PL e / SIL 3. The stainless steel housing and sturdy build keep the units working in extremely rugged ambient conditions, and FRP /K versions are also available.
M10A (stainless) and M10BM/K (FRP) are mechanical guard locks with separate actuator. M10B01M and M10B01M/K add optional key release, and M11A and M11BM/K combine a separate actuator with forced key removal. M12M and M12M/K are key exchange units: once the first key is inserted, the second and any further keys can be taken out, so one key can open several mechanically secured entries, including guards with full body access.
