SAFEMASTER STS key modules for enforced operating sequences
A key module works purely mechanically: a personal key releases or locks a function, such as opening a safety door, so a set order of operation has to be followed. It combines with further modules to form an STS unit, can be mounted in four positions each turned through 90°, and further modules can be added above or below it. It is available with or without a protective cover and helps protect people against being locked in.
Stainless steel versions are 01, 01S, 10, 10S and R1; 01/K and 10/K are the FRP versions for STS/K units. The modules are operated with the STS key (Key or Key/K), hold the EU-type test certificate under directive 2006/42/EG, annex IX, and suit applications up to PL e / Category 4 to EN/ISO 13849-1. Replacement key sets 01, 10 and 11 can be found under accessories.
