SAFEMASTER STS switch modules for actuator and key position monitoring
The switch module is the switching element of an STS unit that safeguards movable guards. When the guard opens, the switch module has to stop hazardous movement straight away and keep it from restarting; actuating it brings the hazard to a stop and/or unlocks entries. It monitors where the actuator and key are and is combined with further modules in an STS unit.
Stainless steel versions are RV, RX, SV and SX, and RX/K and SX/K are FRP versions for STS/K units. The RX types handle access control, or add direct key or actuator monitoring to mechanical units with a separating guard. The modules hold the EU-type test certificate under directive 2006/42/EG, annex IX, and suit applications up to PL e / Category 4 to EN/ISO 13849-1.
- Stops hazardous movement when the guard opens
- Monitors actuator and key position
- Stainless: RV, RX, SV, SX; FRP: RX/K, SX/K
- RX adds monitoring to mechanical units
